Using more than one eBay account

Why each eBay account gets its own workspace, how to add one, and how a plan covers several.

Why it works that way Adding a workspace for a second account What a plan allowance means Switching between them

Baiord holds one eBay account per workspace. If you trade on two accounts, you have two workspaces and switch between them.

Orders eBay created before this date stay out of Baiord for good — a fee change or a refund on one never brings it in. Orders already held keep updating whatever their date. The date can move earlier, never later.

Each eBay account gets its own workspace, so its orders and profit stay separate. To connect another account, add a workspace for it — your Multi plan already covers it.

Add a workspace

One workspace for each eBay account keeps their orders and profit separate. This one is covered by the plan on Patik Store, so there is nothing more to pay.

Create workspace Cancel
LiveA second eBay account, playing on its own: each account gets its own workspace so two sets of books never mix. Open the workspace switcher, Add a workspace for another eBay account, name it — your plan already covers it — and connect its eBay account there.

Why it works that way

Because the alternative is useless. Two sellers' orders summed into one profit figure, one margin and one monthly P&L is not a number anybody can act on, and separating them again afterwards is impossible. One account, one set of books.

Adding a workspace for a second account

  1. Open the workspace switcher and choose to add a workspace.
  2. Name it — usually after the eBay account it will hold.
  3. Connect that eBay account to it, exactly as you did the first.

The second workspace is covered by the plan on the first, so there is nothing more to pay as long as your plan has room. If it does not, Baiord tells you rather than showing you a form that can only fail.

What a plan allowance means

A plan's eBay-account allowance is a number of workspaces. A workspace holding a subscription can have further workspaces linked to it, each with its own eBay account and its own books. Linked workspaces carry a copy of the paying workspace's plan and expiry, so they expire together and are renewed together.

Check your own allowance on the pricing page or in Settings — see also connecting your eBay account for the message you get when the allowance is used up.

Switching between them

Each workspace has its own web address, its own orders, its own expenses, its own team and its own time zone. Nothing is shared and nothing is summed across them. Your sign-in is the same for all of them.

Baiord connects to eBay through eBay's developer APIs with read-only permissions, approved on eBay's own sign-in page. It cannot list, end or reprice an item, message a buyer, issue a refund or move money, and it never sees your eBay password. You can withdraw its access at any time, from Baiord or from your eBay account.

Profit is what eBay reports — the sale, the postage your buyer paid, any discount you gave and every fee eBay charged — less the buying price you enter, with refunds, fee credits and supplier refunds on the order they belong to. Sales tax and VAT that eBay collects and remits are neither revenue nor cost. An order without a buying price is left out of profit until it has one.

Days and months start at midnight in your workspace's time zone — the zone eBay cuts your statements in, set from your marketplace. A refund counts in the month it arrived unless you choose the month of the original order.

Prices are in US dollars and are the whole price; no VAT is added. Each eBay account has its own workspace, so two sets of books never mix: Solo covers one account, Multi covers three.

Features are subject to change. Some features, such as Finance, are switched on per workspace.
