How the calculator works it out
The total sale is the sold price plus the postage the buyer paid. Every percentage fee is worked out on that total and rounded to the cent, the per-order fee is added once, and VAT at 21% is added to eBay's fees unless you switch on VAT-registered. Profit is what you received for the item and postage, minus eBay's fees, minus what you paid for the item, its postage and anything else; for a VAT-registered seller the VAT in the price is left out too. The break-even price is the sold price at which profit is exactly zero.

Does eBay.nl charge its fee on postage?
Yes. The final value fee is a percentage of the total amount of the sale — the item price, the postage the buyer paid and VAT — not of the item price alone. The Promoted Listings fee is worked out on the same total.
What does eBay charge to sell abroad from the Netherlands?
eBay.nl adds an international fee to the total sale when the buyer is abroad: Rest of Europe, US or Canada 1.6%; UK 1.2%; Elsewhere 3.3%; Eurozone or Sweden free.
Does this include Store or shop discounts?
No. The rates are the ones eBay publishes for sellers without a subscription and without Top Rated discounts; a subscription lowers the final value fee in many categories.
