eBay.com.au fees at a glance
The rates this calculator uses for eBay.com.au, from eBay's own fee page, checked 30 October 2026. They are for Australia-based sellers on free selling — up to A$25,000 of sales in the last 12 months.
| Fee | eBay.com.au |
|---|---|
| Final value fee | None on free selling |
| Charged on | The whole sale: item price, postage and any tax |
| Per-order fee | none |
| GST | Included in eBay's fees |
| Selling abroad | Yes 3% |
How the calculator works it out
The total sale is the sold price plus the postage the buyer paid. Every percentage fee is worked out on that total and rounded to the cent, the per-order fee is added once, and nothing else is added. Profit is what you received for the item and postage, minus eBay's fees, minus what you paid for the item, its postage and anything else. The break-even price is the sold price at which profit is exactly zero.
Questions
How much does eBay take from a sale in Australia?
On eBay.com.au, Australia-based sellers with up to A$25,000 of sales in the last 12 months sell free: there is no final value fee. Selling to a buyer outside Australia adds a 3% international fee. Above A$25,000 eBay moves you to a Pro plan with its own rates.
What does eBay charge to sell abroad from Australia?
eBay.com.au adds an international fee to the total sale when the buyer is abroad: Yes 3%.
Does this include Store or shop discounts?
No. The rates are the ones eBay publishes for sellers without a subscription and without Top Rated discounts; a subscription lowers the final value fee in many categories.
