Monthly P&L

One month's profit & loss statement — the summary up top, every order underneath. It shows the settled profit for month-end payouts, the same figure as your dashboard: refunds and supplier recoveries count in the month they arrived, so a closed month never changes. Download it as a PDF to read or hand over, or as a CSV to open in a spreadsheet — the figures are identical.

September 2026Download PDFDownload CSV

CSV opens directly in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets; the PDF is the same data shaped for reading. The figures in every export are identical.

The four exports

ExportWhat is in it
OrdersEvery order with fees, supplier cost, refunds, profit and margin. One row per order.
Monthly profit & lossRevenue, fees, cost of goods, expenses and net profit summarised by month.
Product performanceCost history, average sale price, units sold, total profit and refund counts per SKU. Not period-scoped — it is the whole history.
ExpensesMonthly business costs by category, for bookkeeping.

Orders columns

Order ID, Date, Buyer, Product, SKU, Qty, Sold, Shipping charged, eBay fees, Supplier, Supplier order no., Cost, Refunded, Refunded on, Supplier refund, Profit, Margin %, Status, Delivery, Tracking, Currency.

Sold is the item subtotal less any discount; the postage the buyer paid is its own column. Refunded on is blank when nothing was refunded — never a stand-in date that would sort as though something had happened.

Monthly P&L columns

Month, Orders, Revenue, eBay fees, Cost of goods, Gross profit, Expenses, Net profit, Margin %, Prior-period adjustments (included), Changed since first reported, First reported.

Product performance columns

Title, SKU, Supplier, Times sold, Units sold, Last cost, Avg cost, Min cost, Max cost, Avg sale, Total profit, Refunds, Currency.

A cost column is left blank rather than zero when it is unknown. A blank cell is honest; a 0.00 would be a claim you never made.

Expenses columns

Month, Category, Description, Amount, Recurring, Currency.

Spreadsheet details that matter

  • Opens straight in Excel — the file carries the byte marker Excel needs to read accented characters properly, and uses the line endings it expects.
  • No formula injection. A text value starting with an equals sign or a plus is escaped so your spreadsheet treats it as text, not a formula. Numbers are never escaped, so a negative amount still sums.
  • Money is a plain decimal — no currency symbols, no thousands separators, nothing to clean up before you total a column.

Filenames look like baiord-orders-2026-09-01.csv, so a folder of exports sorts itself.

For the month's statement

The monthly profit-and-loss statement — the one to hand to an accountant or settle a profit share on — is its own thing with a PDF. See the monthly P&L.

How profit is calculatedThe exact formula, every term in it, and the two conditions an order must meet before it counts. eBay fees: where they come fromWhich fees Baiord reads, why they arrive after the sale and sometimes change, and what the 90-day ledger limit means for old orders. Reading the dashboardThe two period panels, the profit breakdown, what the outstanding counts mean, and your eBay account health. Expenses and true net profitWhich costs eBay bills import themselves, which you add, and why a 7-day window shows a fraction of the month's expenses.

Email support@baiord.com

Baiord connects to eBay through eBay's developer APIs with read-only permissions, approved on eBay's own sign-in page. It cannot list, end or reprice an item, message a buyer, issue a refund or move money, and it never sees your eBay password. You can withdraw its access at any time, from Baiord or from your eBay account.

Profit is what eBay reports — the sale, the postage your buyer paid, any discount you gave and every fee eBay charged — less the buying price you enter, with refunds, fee credits and supplier refunds on the order they belong to. Sales tax and VAT that eBay collects and remits are neither revenue nor cost. An order without a buying price is left out of profit until it has one.

Days and months start at midnight in your workspace's time zone — the zone eBay cuts your statements in, set from your marketplace. A refund counts in the month it arrived unless you choose the month of the original order.

Prices are in US dollars and are the whole price; no VAT is added. Each eBay account has its own workspace, so two sets of books never mix: Solo covers one account, Multi covers three.

Features are subject to change. Some features, such as Finance, are switched on per workspace.
