Baiord raises an alert when something needs a decision from you — not to report that it is still working. The bell is in the top bar; the full list is at Notifications.
What Baiord will tell you about
| Alert | When |
|---|---|
| N orders awaiting buying price | Orders have had no price for over 24 hours. Refreshed daily rather than piling up. |
| Did you receive a supplier refund? | A refund's supplier question is unanswered. Links to that exact refund. |
| Is this returned item resaleable? | A returned unit has arrived back and needs a decision. Never raised before it is delivered. |
| Supplier refund overdue | An expecting refund is past its expected date, or 14 days past the buyer refund. |
| Order made a loss | An order closed in the red. |
| High refund rate | A product has been refunded on over 15% of at least five sales. |
| {product} has sold out of recorded stock | Orders are arriving with no stock batch left to draw on. |
| Reconnect your eBay account | eBay has withdrawn access. See reconnecting. |
| Orders in another currency | Orders are arriving in a currency your workspace does not report in. |
| Your trial has ended | Once per lapse, with the date syncing stops. |
| Baiord Support replied | A reply on one of your tickets. |
Alerts clear themselves
This is the part worth knowing, because it is the opposite of most notification systems:
- Doing the work resolves the alert. Answer a supplier refund and its question disappears, along with its overdue chase.
- An alert whose cause has gone is deleted, not left to be dismissed. A loss notice dies when the order is no longer in the red. A refund question dies when the order turns out to have been cancelled. A high-refund flag dies when the rate drops. A reconnect reminder dies on recovery, so the next break is fresh news rather than an old badge.
- You are told once, not once per check. Re-checking updates the existing alert's wording instead of adding another.
Baiord checks every hour, and again straight after each sync, so an alert does not wait a day to appear.
Alerts never send you somewhere you cannot go
If an alert points at a page your role cannot open, the link is removed and the message still reads. A VA is not bounced to Billing by a trial notice.
The bell
An unread count, up to "9+". Opening it marks what you read as read; Mark all read clears the lot. It refreshes itself about once a minute. When there is nothing: "You're all caught up."
Push notifications on your phone
The Baiord mobile app can push these to your phone. Two things to know:
- Most are muted by default. Out of the box your phone only buzzes for a high refund rate, an eBay reconnect, and platform messages including support replies. Everything else — awaiting cost, refund questions, return questions, overdue supplier refunds, losses, stock running out — is off until you switch it on. You opt into more buzz, rather than out of it.
- Mutes are per person, and push only. They live in the mobile app's own settings, not in workspace settings. The web bell always shows everything, whatever your phone is set to.
A notification you have already read or dealt with at a desk is not pushed afterwards. Platform messages cannot be muted — that is the one channel that has to reach you.
Emails
Baiord emails you for a short list of things: confirming your address, resetting your password, a trial ending, an eBay reconnect, a support reply, and billing receipts. There is no daily or weekly digest — refund and return work lives in the bell and the app, not your inbox.
