The Finance page answers a different question from the rest of Baiord. Not "what did I make" but "where is my money" — what eBay holds, what has reached your bank, and what moved.
Finance is switched on per workspace. If you do not see it in the sidebar, it is not enabled for yours — ask support.
Cash is not profit
This is the thing to hold on to. Your eBay balance moves when money moves; your profit moves when a sale happens and a cost is known. They will never match, and they are not supposed to. A payout of last month's sales lands in this month's bank; a sale made today may be held for a week.
The four balances
| Tile | What it is |
|---|---|
| Available | Withdrawable to your bank now |
| On hold | Held by eBay, releasing as orders are confirmed delivered |
| Processing | Clearing into available |
| Total in eBay | All three added up |
The On hold tile says whether it matches eBay's own figure. When it does, you get a tick; when it does not, the breakdown underneath shows you every held payment, which order it belongs to and how long it has been held.
Cash flow
Five figures for the window you pick: Sales in (net of eBay's selling fee), eBay fees (ads, postage, regulatory), Refunds & disputes, Net into balance, and Paid to bank.
Net into balance is the exact sum of every non-payout movement, not the three headline lines added up — so it ties out even when something unusual appears in your ledger.
Becoming available
When your held funds free up. eBay releases about two days after delivery, and the rows split into Clearing soon, Awaiting delivery and Held longer than usual — the last one being the one to look at.
Payouts
Date, amount, status, the bank account it went to (last four digits) and how many transactions it covered. Up to 300 rows on screen; Export payouts gives you the lot as a CSV.
If a payout failed, a red alert says so: "£X bounced back to your eBay balance — usually a bank-detail mismatch. Worth checking your payout account on eBay." Baiord cannot fix this for you — it is read-only — but it will not let it pass unnoticed either.
If you are paid in a different currency
Where eBay pays you in one currency and your orders are in another, a banner explains it: sales, fees and refunds use eBay's own amounts, while balances and payouts are marked with a ≈ and converted at eBay's own rate over the last 30 days. The rate is printed so you can check it.
Just switched it on?
You will see "Fetching your finances from eBay" for a few minutes. No reconnect is needed — it uses the finances permission you already granted. The "Recently released" panel stays empty until Baiord has watched its first held-to-available transition, which is a few days.
